Highlow 3rd Anniversary Tote
For Highlow Gift Shop’s 3rd Anniversary, owner Sonya Gallardo wanted something to encapsulate some things that Highlow Gift Shop has become known for, Sonya’s cat Lionel and the “Somebody in Torrance Loves Me” mug. She also wanted something a little different than the anniversary totes of previous years, and decided to collaborate with local artist Amelia Haru to bring her vision to life.
Amelia Haru is an artist + illustrator based in Southern California. Watercolors are her main love, but she enjoys experimenting with a variety of mediums including (but not limited to) gouache, colored pencils, cut paper, pastels, and digital tools.
Lately, Amelia’s work has become a personal exploration of feelings she wants to invite into her own life. When anxious or feeling lost, she thinks about cozy places and memories, or characters who face the world with curiosity and wonder rather than fear. She is hugely inspired by nature, soft colors, evocative words, and the quiet magic of cats. This made for the perfect match in creating our beloved 3rd Anniversary Tote.
Material: Recycled canvas
Dimensions: 8"W x 10"H x 5"D with 15” handles
Printed locally by Studio Effects in Gardena, California
